The Childcare Centre
September 23, 2020 4:15 pmThe Childcare Centre officially opened its doors in June 2019 in the notable heritage building on the corner of McPherson & Thomas Streets once home to the former Secretary of the Moonee Valley Racing Club.
The MVRC funded the childcare centres redevelopment, with full oversight on the refurbishment and has secured a long-term lease with Think Childcare (Nido Early Learning) with the capacity to care for up to 91 children. The Childcare was sold in March 2020 to enable funds to be reinvested into the MVRC’s redevelopment activities. As the property is controlled under a heritage overlay the building will be protected in its refurbished heritage form.
