After one Covid cancellation in 2020, the premier of Beanbag Cinema at Moonee Valley Park has arrived and it will have locals singing for joy!

Melbourne families are invited to experience a night at the movies unlike any other. The racecourse at Moonee Valley is undergoing a transformation of cinematic proportions for a special screening of family favourite, SING, on Saturday 26 March 2022.

Gates open at 5pm, with live music keeping guests entertained upon entry until the movie commences at 7pm. During this time, kids can fully immerse themselves in the world of Sing, with costumed characters roaming and ready for happy snaps.  There will also be an arts and crafts station, including face painting and balloon twisting, and games from Kelly Sports.

Sing will then start at 7pm, and as the sun sets, guests will experience the racecourse like never before, viewing the screen from the track itself, with a stunning twilight backdrop of the Melbourne CBD just 6km away.

Movie-goers will have a variety of takeaway options to choose from including food and beverages from the Food Collective by Dean & McPherson, run by Moonee Valley Racing Club. Additionally, the event will adhere to a strictly no BYO alcohol policy, however, a bar will be available to purchase drinks. And every ticket holder will receive free popcorn!

There are a variety of ticket options available starting from $10.

Complimentary and disabled car parking is available at Moonee Valley Racecourse, via Gate 7 on Wilson Street or Gate 6 on Dean Street. There is also a car pick up and drop off point located on Feehan Avenue, with public transport nearby. The Beanbag Cinema is a fully accessible and disability-friendly event.

“We can’t wait to see the community’s response to this stellar event, which will help us get to know locals and cultivate a program of memorable experiences at Moonee Valley Park,” said Matt Malseed, Managing Director of property developer Hamton.
